Stress in aquaculture production. It is an important thing in the production process. Stress is a major concern in aquaculture as many stressors are present in aquatic animals which can induce the shrimp to compromise growth and health and ultimately promote disease. The main factors of stress in aquaculture production are nutritional, environmental and disease stress. When the animal stress, free radicals and antioxidants in body imbalance leading to the oxidative stress then growth performance, immunity, and survival rate will drop and cooked shrimp color and ornamental fish color will be pale.

It can improve biological antioxidants in the body. For the biological antioxidants such as glutathione (GSH), vitamins C, and vitamins E can reduce the damage caused by free radicals. The main active ingredients of AV3 are milk thistle and ginkgo. Milk thistle is composed of flavonolignans known as silymarin. For ginkgo, the active ingredients are terpenes and flavonoids. We have unique techniques to produce AV3. We call maceration techniques a cold extraction with alcohol and water.
Milk thistle’s extract
is used in the formulation of AV3 for regulation of GSH synthesis. Silymarin in milk thistle can modify the metabolism of sulfur-containing substances in the liver and is shown to regulate cysteine synthesis. Cysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that plays a key role in the production of GSH.
Ginkgo extract
is used in AV3 for its role in activating the redox cycle from GSSG to GSH. Ginkgo extracts also exhibit free radical scavenging activities.
